Our Covenant

Our Covenant

We affirm that the deepest truth is found in direct, living relationship with Jesus Christ, realized through the immediate guidance of the Holy Spirit. We commit to a spiritual life centered on listening and obedient action rather than fixed human doctrines (Romans 8:14).

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God”.

Openness to Teaching

We affirm that God’s revelation is alive and continuous. We refuse to close our hearts or minds to the Holy Spirit’s ongoing teaching and direction, even when that teaching challenges our past understanding. We seek a present-tense faith, always ready to be led by the Divine (John 16:13).

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come”

The Focus on Jesus

We commit to keeping our focus solely on the person, life, and commands of Jesus Christ—the true image of the invisible God. We use His example and authority as the primary standard against which we test all inner guidance and all outer teachings (Psalms 143:10).

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground”.

The Inner Witness

We believe the Holy Spirit is the ultimate interpreter of scripture and the immediate teacher of truth. Our deepest responsibility is to listen inward, seek unity of the Spirit with one another, and trust the personal guidance we receive that aligns with the character of Christ (John 14:26).

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”.

Rejection of Dogma

We embrace a non-doctrinal spirituality, prioritizing the experience of the Divine and the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace,) over adherence to institutional creeds or external dogmas. Our authority rests in the living relationship with God, not in human-made rules (1 Cor 2:4-5)

“My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
