About The Eternal Flame

Our Mission

Hello. I am Wayne Munro. I currently reside in Australia. This space emerged from lived experience—of faith, disillusionment, questioning, loss, and the slow rebuilding of meaning and trust. You can read more about my personal journey away from institutional church structures here.

Today, my work includes providing free counselling for individuals navigating religious trauma, faith loss, or spiritual disorientation.

While my own journey includes a personal faith, this space is intentionally not centred on conversion, persuasion, or religious outcomes.

Some who come here still believe in God or Jesus. Others are unsure. Some no longer believe at all. All are welcome.

The focus is not on what you should believe, but on helping you experience clarity, grounding, and deep peace—without pressure, performance, or expectation.

What This Space Is

The Eternal Flame is a sanctuary for:

  • Private, confidential, one‑on‑one conversations.
  • People who prefer low‑pressure, individual settings over group environments.
  • Honest reflection, emotional processing, and meaning‑making.
  • Respectful dialogue that allows you to express yourself freely.

There are no crowds, no costs, and no agenda. Just presence, listening, and space to breathe—online or in person.

Religious Trauma,Faith, Meaning, and Exploration

For those who wish to explore their personal religious trauma, personal faith or their journey away from spirituality, this can be done gently and reflectively, without obligation or direction.

This space does not exist to dismantle belief—or to rebuild it—but to support people in finding what is honest and life‑giving for them.

A Grounded, Reflective Approach

Rather than offering fixed answers or rigid frameworks, the work through the Eternal Flame centres on:

  • Slowing down and listening inwardly.
  • Examining inherited beliefs, fears, and assumptions.
  • Releasing guilt, shame, and external judgment.
  • Reconnecting with personal integrity, conscience, and direction.

For some, this journey may still include a relationship with God or Jesus. For others, it involves redefining meaning outside of religious structures. Both paths are honoured equally.
